The BMW X2, known for introducing the coupe SUV concept in the premium compact segment, has launched its second-generation model. This new iteration is notably larger and features a pronounced coupe silhouette, which is also seen in its fully electric iX2 variant. BMW X2 Electric SUV: More Bigger
The new BMW X2 has gotten larger compared to its previous model. It's now 4,554mm long, 1,845mm wide, and 1,590mm tall. That's an increase of 194mm in length, 21mm in width, and 64mm in height.
Depending on the model variant, it can carry between 560 to 1,470 litres of cargo, while the iX2 can handle between 525 to 1,400 litres. Its wheelbase measures 2,692mm.
BMW X2 Electric SUV: Nine Colour Options
The BMW X2 comes in nine colour options, ranging from Frozen Pure Grey Metallic to Fire Red Metallic. Choose from classics like Alpine White or bold choices like Skyscraper Grey Metallic. Whether you prefer Frozen Portimao Blue or Black Sapphire Metallic, there's a colour to match your style.

BMW X2 Electric SUV: Battery Size, Range And Transmission
The iX2 has dual drive unitsone each at the front and rear axles. It delivers 230 kW (313 hp) nominal power, with a 30-minute peak of 94 kW (128 hp), and 494 Nm of torque.
It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, hitting an electric top speed of 180 km/h. Its battery capacity is 64.8 kWh, offering an electric range of 417449 km. Charging is fast, taking 29 minutes to reach 80% with DC and 3.75 hours with AC.
The iX2 has all-wheel drive with a TwinPower Turbo internal combustion engine.
BMW X2 Electric SUV: India Bound?
The market release is scheduled for March 2024, featuring the debut of the all-electric iX2 xDrive30 and the high-performance X2 M35i xDrive model, along with one additional petrol option and one diesel model.
Later in the year, another fully electric variant and a second diesel model will be introduced to the lineup. The BMW X2 is expected to arrive in India in late 2024.
Verdict
The market launch will get underway in March 2024 with the all-electric iX2 xDrive30 as well as the X2 M35i xDrive performance model, one other petrol option and one diesel model. Later this year, a second fully electric variant and another diesel-engined model will be added to the line-up.
