To protect the entire country from all sorts of threats our Defence Forces work in extreme conditions. Officers there usually commute in Maruti Suzuki Gypsy, Tata Safari GS400 or the Royal Enfield Bullet. However the officers at the Border Road Organization have this time used Hero XPulse 200 4v, an entry-level ADV but a capable off-roader. The soldiers were able to ride the bike at 17,500 ft above sea level and that too in sub-zero temperatures.
Indias largest selling bikes manufacturer also posted the same on their social media handle. The BRO soldiers took the bike to the Himalayas fighting challenging and rough terrains without breaking a sweat. Recently Hero replaced its XPulse 200 with XPulse 200 4v as a new engine that features 4-valve technology. With the update in the engine the bike carries the same features as before like LED headlamp, dual-purpose tyres, larger wheels, smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, higher ground clearance, and easy seat access for on or off roads.
Hero XPulse is powered by a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a 4-valve setup which is now capable of delivering 19.1 PS of maximum power which was 18.08 PS and 17.35 Nm of peak torque which was 16.45 Nm. Hero just introduced the 2021 XPulse 200 4v, earlier the bike was only available with a 2-valve setup.
