After a slowdown due to COVID-19, the Indian automotive market is back on track. With sales pitching higher numbers every month, we present you with the list of upcoming cars to launch in February 2022.
1. KIA Carens (Rs 15 - 18 Lakhs*)
One of the most awaited MPV from South Korean carmakers, the Carens has already made its way to showrooms & bookings have commenced. Carens is expected to compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
It'll be available in two different engine options meshed along with manual as well as automatic transmission options. Expected to be launched in the first week of February within a price bracket of Rs 15-18 lakhs, the Carens aims to boost sales of KIA.

2. Audi Q7 (Rs 80 Lakhs*)
Audi's flagship SUV Q7 is due for a comeback. With diesel engine options gone for good, Audi Q7 2022 shall be using a 3.0 lt turbo-petrol V6 engine making peak power of 340 PS & 500 NM of torque.
The 2022 Q7 is expected to be launched in the first week of February with an anticipated price tag of around Rs 80 Lakhs.

3. BMW M4 (Rs 1.25 Cr*)
Launched in late 2020, BMW M4 is due for an update. It is anticipated that BMW shall be launching the updated avatar of their monstrous power sliding sportscar M4 in the first week of February.
Powering the 2022 BMW M4 will be a 3.0-liter straight-six petrol motor, capable of churning out 473bhp and 550Nm in the standard version and 503bhp and 650Nm in the Competition version. An 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox (for both variants) & a 6-speed manual transmission (available in standard trim); shall complete the duty of putting this mammoth of power to use.
M4 will sell along with the iconic M3 sportscar from BMW & is expected to bear a price tag of around 1.25 Crores.
4. Lexus NX 2022 (Rs 60 Lakhs*)
Unveiled not so long ago, Japanese luxury carmaker Lexus will be launching the new updated NX 2022 in mid of February.
A sleeker design outside with sharp styling cues from Lexus design language carried over from higher models will make way through the new car. Inside is also expected to witness a moderate change in features as well as styling.
The interesting part is that Lexus NX 2022 will be launched with multiple engine options which will include a 2.4-litre, turbo-petrol unit that develops 279hp and 430Nm, a 2.5-litre, naturally aspirated unit making 205hp and 250Nm as well as a 242hp, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the same engine in the NX 350h. There is also a more powerful version of the PHEV powertrain in the NX 450h+, that churns out 306hp. Lexus claims the PHEVs have an electric-only range of 58km.
The expected price tag is between Rs 55 - 60 lakhs.
5. BMW X6 M50i (Rs 1.39 Cr*)
German carmaker BMW is on a spree of launches in February. Along with the M4 BMW will be introducing the M-sport variant of their coupe SUV.
Already made a special space in the hearts of enthusiasts, uber-cool & sporty X6 will be receiving a powerful petrol variant badged as M50i. This will be an M-sport variant that will feature special design cues such as big & sporty alloy wheels with low profile rubber.
A major point of attraction will be the delicious 3.0 turbo-petrol V6 engine which will be capable to produce 335.25 BHP of power meshed with 450NM of peak torque available on tap. The gearbox will the reliable 8-speed torque converter in-house unit from BMW.
Anticipation is that BMW X6 M50i will come with a price tag of Rs 1.39 Crores.
6. BMW X6 M50d (Rs 1.49 Cr*)
As above said, BMW is on a launch spree in February. Along with the petrol X6 M50i, a powerful diesel variant will also make its way into the market. Called the M50d, this M-sport variant shall be a sporty diesel version of the already aggressive coupe SUV X6.
Powering the M50d will be a 3.0 lt inline-6 cylinder turbo-diesel engine. This engine will produce the same figures as that M50i; 335.25 BHP of power & 450 NM of peak torque figures on tap. Considering that peak torque will be available between 1500-1750 RPM range, the M50d will be very practical and powerful on Indian roads.
This diesel rocket uber cool SUV will cost around Rs 1.49 Crores when launched in mid of February.
7. Mahindra XUV300 Turbo Sportz (Rs 12.34 Lakhs*)
Mahindra's compact SUV XUV300 has already been a success & a new more powerful variant is on the tab.
With the competition now offering more powerful turbo petrol options, Mahindra has updated the XUV300 with a new 1.2-L 3-cylinder T-GDI turbo-petrol engine. This newer engine will make 130 PS of peak power & 230 NM of torque. These figures are 20 PS & 30 NM more than the existing model.
Power will be coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. And the expected price tag is around Rs 12.34 lakhs. The launch is due in mid-February.
8. Volvo XC40 Recharge (Rs 60 Lakhs*)
Swedish car maker's all-electric SUV is now finally set to launch. Badged as Volvo XC40 Recharge, this car will become part of the 80% all-electric sales target of Volvo by 2025.
Equipped with a 78kWh lithium-ion battery, XC40 Recharge will possess two 204 BHP motors which help it to attain a WLTP-certified range of 418 km. The top speed is limited to 180 kmph.
To be priced around Rs 60 lakhs, XC40 Recharge will become the country's most affordable all-electric luxury SUV.
9. Maruti Alto 2022 (Rs 3.50 Lakhs*)
India's favourite entry-level car Alto is due for its third generation. The newer Alto is expected to launch by the end of February 2022.
Already spotted testing multiple times, Maruti is set to add the new Alto 800 to the list of their new stable which includes the recently launched Celerio, upcoming Brezza 2022 & Baleno 2022.
It is expected to be a completely fresh car inside out & might feature the K10C Dualjet 1.0 lt 3-cylinder petrol from Celerio which produces 47PS of peak power & 69NM of peak torque. The 2022 Alto 800 will come with a 5-speed manual as well as an AMT transmission.
The anticipated price of the new Alto 800 hovers in the likes of Rs 3.5 Lakhs.
9. Maruti Solio (Rs 6 Lakhs*)
Maruti Suzuki is ready to launch their typical Japanese-styled compact SUV called Solio in the upcoming month.
Already available in international markets, Solio will feature a tall boy design like the WagonR & will compete with the likes of Mahindra TUV100, Datsun GO+ & Renault Kwid.
Featuring will include a 1.2 lt K series naturally aspirated petrol engine producing around 82PS of power & 113NM of peak torque. Gearbox might include a 5-speed manual & an AMT option.
The expected price is Rs 6 Lakhs when launched.
10. Volvo V60 Cross Country (Rs 45 Lakhs*)
Along the XC40 Recharge Volvo will also launch the XC60 Cross Country estate. This car shall become the 5th car in Volvo's portfolio and rival the competition like Skoda Kodiaq, Mercedes Benz GLC, BMW X3 & Audi Q3.
Featuring a 2-L, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine which makes 187 BHP of power & 400 NM of peak torque; XC60 Cross Country will be the second estate in the stable of Volvo. The first remains to be the XC90 Cross Country.
This car will feature the same design language from Volvo as seen on regular XC60 but include a long overhanging rear to accommodate more space inside the cabin.
It is expected to be launched by the end of February & shall bear a price tag of around Rs 45 Lakhs.
