There has not been much activity in India later in the premium cruiser segment. Ending this stagnancy, the Harley-Davidson Nightster Sportster cum cruiser bike is officially teased. The cult American bike manufacturer will soon launch a few products in India. The official photos are released over the HD website ahead of the official launch.
Catering to the data that we have till now, we know that it will join the Sportster series in India. The Sportster series include the products like the Iron 883 & the Forty-Eight bikes. The new Nightster is a mix between the styling of the segment above cruisers like the Fat-Boy & the Sportster bikes like the Iron 883.

Harley-Davidson Nightster Details
Harley-Davidson has designed it over a steel tubular frame & a long wheelbase. The front set footpegs are well contrasted along with the sculpted stretched-out teardrop-shaped fuel tank. Also, the round LED headlight & the round instrument cluster make up for the iconic retro-themed design. The rear-end is a short-tail design & uses the side-set number plate in the typical Sportster style.
Other design elements as such the cut-off fenders, low-slung seat, two-exhausts pipes, & the V-twin engine casing are also prominent to look at. Harley-Davidson has made sure that the Nightster falls in the line of typical cult cruiser bike styling. The overall dimensions are large & the road presence of Nightster will surely turn heads.
The Nighster will be using a 975cc, 60-degree V-twin, liquid-cooled engine. It is a new engine & it is capable of making out 90 hp of peak power as well as 95 Nm of peak torque. HD has equipped the Nightster with a 6-speed slipper-assist clutch gearbox for seamless gear shifts.
On the feature front, Harley has equipped it with a dual-channel ABS, digital instrument panel, a torque control system, etc. Additionally, the Nightster comes with 3-riding modes as standard. These include - Rain, Road, & Sports modes for various riding conditions.

The India launch of Nightster Sportster is expected in the coming weeks. Most probably, the prices of the Harley-Davidson Nightster will remain in the range of Rs 14 - 14.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The rivals will include - Triumph Bonneville Bobber.
