Hero Splendor Plus sports the classic neat design. The tank is sleek and low with no extenders and contours, the panels are flat and the rear multi-purpose grab handle is very useful. The Splendor Plus has never been a great-looking motorcycle, its a conventional small commuter motorcycle with a no-nonsense design.

Hero Splendor Plus First Look Review - Specs and Features
Hero Splendor Plus BS6 comes with a good amount of features but as it is a small commuter bike, you don't get additional features. The headlight is halogen, so is the taillight and turn indicators. To comply with the stringent BS emission norms, Hero Splendor Plus now gets fuel injection system which is said to be more fuel-efficient. Furthermore, it also gets i3s smart technology which also saves fuel in traffic. The rear shock absorbers of the Splendor Plus offer 5-step preload adjustability and the front get conventional forks.

The Hero Splendor Plus gets a 97.2cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine which produces 7.9 bhp and 8.05 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Hero is famous for its best in class fuel economy and the Splendor Plus delivers a great economy. Other than that, there is no fancy stuff on offer. The dials are analogue and we also get side-stand indicator. To comply with safety norms, the Splendor Plus also gets CBS (Combined Braking System).

The BS6 emission norms led to big price bump for all the bikes. The bikes which used to cost in the region of Rs 50,000 - 60,000 are now costing over Rs 80,000. Talking about the Splendor Plus, it is available in three variants - kick start at Rs 60,500, self start at Rs 62,800 and i3S at Rs 64,010. The Splendor Plus is available in four dual tone colour options - black with silver, black with purple, black with red and grey with green.
