Hero Motocorp will finally enter the electric mobility space with the launch of Vida brand today. Under this new brand, two models are expected to be showcased. These will be called the Vida V1 and Vida V1 Pro. We are in Jaipur at the company's Global Centre of Innovation and Technology and will bring you LIVE updates from the event. The Vida V1 Plus is launched at Rs. 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Vida V1 Pro is available for Rs 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the same will open on October 10 for a fee of Rs 2,499. The Vida V1 will initially be sold in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Jaipur, with deliveries beginning in the second week of December.

Vida V1 is tested for 2 lakh km and 25,000 hours in different conditions, the brand has done various tests such as nail penetration test, battery endurance test and others. The motor comes with IP68 rating (can take thermal shock including sub zero temp). Vida V1 can scale 18 degree gradients with 2 riders.

Vida V1 will be offered in two variants called V1 Pro and V1 Plus. The V1 Plus will get an IDC range of `143 km and V1 Pro gets an IDC range of 165 km range. The Vida V1 gets custom mode with 100 configurations: rider can adjust top speed , acceleration, regen etc. Vida V1 can be charged at Hero public fast chargers, at home with portable charger and the battery can be removed and charged at home at your convenience.

Swappable battery technology will be featured on the upcoming Hero Vida electric scooter. For Vida, swappable battery technology will be provided by Gogoro, a Taiwanese manufacturer with expertise in the swappable battery technology.
