New Hero Naked Bike: What To Expect?
The new Hero naked bike seems to have a few similarities to another fully-faired motorcycle, also from Hero, whose leaked patent images have been doing the rounds. The fuel tank, alloy rims, and the seat section appear to be common between the two motorcycles and it is highly possible that both motorcycles share an all-new frame.
The patent images confirm that the Hero naked bike will make use of USD forks and a monoshock, and we can also expect bigger disc brakes to be offered. Interestingly, if you observe closely, the patent images suggest that the new Hero will get a rear tyre hugger with a vehicle number plate holder.
As for the engine, details remain scarce, but a closer look at the engine casing suggests this Hero could be powered by a larger, more powerful mill; perhaps a 250cc, liquid-cooled unit, since that is a segment that remains untested for Hero.
Even if these motorcycles get showcased soon enough, it is important to remember that Hero is yet to launch the Xoom 160 and the Xoom 125R, which were shown at the previous EICMA, and also at the Bharat Mobility Expo. However, more details about the new motorcycles shall be known in the coming days, so stay tuned!

Verdict
The new Hero naked bike could possibly be a new direction for the Indian bike maker, as it previously said it wants to capitalize more in the premium segment. The 250cc naked motorcycle segment remains uncharted territory for Hero, and this could well be an opportunity.
