Bajaj Pulsar N125 Pros
Sharp Styling & Sporty Look
The Pulsar series is loved for its sporty design language and the new Pulsar N125 is nothing less. The new Pulsar boasts a new LED headlamp setup which gives it a sharp front fascia. Moreover, the brand has added big fork covers which gives it a bulky look. The side profile gets sharp tank shrouds and an all-new fuel tank giving it a muscular look, a split seat setup continues the sporty appeal, and the rear gets a vertically stacked LED taillamp like every other Pulsar model. Overall the styling of the new Pulsar N125 makes it appealing.
Peppy 125cc Engine
The new N125 comes with an all-new 124.58 cc engine producing 12 PS of power and 11 Nm of peak torque. This engine is tuned for a peppy performance and offers good low and mid-range torque. The torque lower end helps in easy maneuvering. Moreover, the gear shifts are finely tuned, so theres no need to constantly adjust in traffic. The shifts are smooth, with no issues of false gearing in the gearbox. The bike feels a bit strained in the higher range but the low-end grunt will always keep you happy. The brand claims it can achieve 80% of torque near 2,500 RPM.
Lightweight Offers Good Agility
The new Pulsar N125 is quite light as compared to its primary rivals. It weighs only 125kg which helps it in offering better agility. The bike feels nimble in city traffic. One can easily do lane filtering without much hassle, the stiffer suspension setup offers more stability. Moreover, the high ground clearance helps in avoiding big speed breakers and prevents engine scraping.
Attractive Pricing & 7 Different Colour Options
Bajaj has priced the N125 at a very competitive price. The pricing of the motorcycle starts at Rs 94,707 (ex-showroom) and the top-of-the-line variant is priced at Rs 98,707 (ex-showroom). This pricing delivers a well-equipped, sporty motorcycle. Additionally, Bajaj offers the N125 in two variants and seven color options for customers to choose from.
Sharp Braking Offers Good Confidence
The good thing about the Pulsar N125 is its standard braking setup with a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear. The braking is further supported by a Combined Braking System (CBS). The setup offers good stopping power and gives confidence in panic-braking situations.
Bajaj Pulsar N125 Cons
Stiff Suspension
The suspension setup of the N125 gets telescopic front forks and a rear mono shock absorber. The brand has tuned the suspension for better stability, making it slightly on the stiffer side. The stiffer suspension sometimes takes away the plush feel while riding the bike on rough patches. The suspension setup may feel uncomfortable if you live in a rural area or frequently travel on less-paved roads.
Misses Some Features
The N125 is decently equipped in terms of features, it gets Bluetooth connectivity, an LED headlamp and taillamp, a digital instrument cluster, an integrated starter generator, USB charging port among other features. However, if we compare this to the rivals, it misses on features like a Single Channel ABS like the Hero Xtreme 125R, turn-by-turn navigation, and a coloured display like the TVS Raider 125.
Engine Feels Strained At High RPMs
The engine of the Pulsar N125 is tuned to offer good low and mid-range performance and it justifies its nature in the mid and low range. But if you need to rev the engine and enjoy the high speeds, it feels a bit strained and vibrations become evident on the seats, foot pegs, and the handlebar. The engine
Verdict
The Bajaj Pulsar N125 offers a decent array of features and a peppy engine to keep the rider happy but it get some downsides as well. It misses on some features which the rivals offer, it misses on a plush ride quality but it does offer a good value for money. Bajaj has made the motorcycle to appeal young audience and kept the pricing competitive.
