Honda Cars Price Hike
There are now only two cars available from Honda: the mid-size Honda City and the compact sedan Amaze. Due to budgetary restrictions, the brand had increased the Amaze's costs in April by up to Rs 12,000; as a result, this will be the Amaze's second price increase in as many months. The Amaze retails for between Rs. 6.99 lakh and Rs. 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom) at this time.
On the other hand, the mid-size sedan City recently got a makeover along with a new pricing. Retail prices range from Rs. 11.49 to Rs. 15.97 lakhs (ex-showroom) at this time. The powerful hybrid version of the fifth-generation City will not be affected by the upcoming price increase and will continue to cost between Rs 18.89 lakh and Rs 20.39 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the brand, the new price increase will be brought on by the rising cost pressure.

Honda Elevate Debut
In other brand-related news, the Japanese carmaker is preparing to unveil its mid-size SUV Elevate to the world on June 6. The Elevate will go on sale in the following months, and the company has already begun to tease its features. The future Honda Elevate will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and other mid-size SUVs on the market and will provide a good variety of features. It is expected to share the engine and chassis of the 5th Gen City sedan.
Verdict: Some prospective Honda car buyers may be turned off by the impending price increase. Even if the price increase is only a small amount, it will undoubtedly have an impact on those whose budgets are limited and who were planning to purchase Honda sedans.
