Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 Now Rides On Apollo Tramplr XR Tyres
During the initial launch and test riding, the Svartpilen 401 was fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. However, in compliance with stringent government regulations, the company has now replaced them with locally manufactured Apollo trample tyres. It's important to note that these regulations were put in place in 2020 to promote domestic manufacturing by restricting the import of certain new pneumatic tyres for vehicles. Under this regulation, tyre companies can only import a limited number of tyres into the country with a special import license.
Several popular models, such as the Yamaha FZ series, Bajaj Dominar 400, TVS Apache, and others, also use domestic tyres.

Are Other Models Tyres At The Risk Of Bans?
Could other models running on international tyres face similar bans? The situation remains uncertain as government regulations on tyre imports aren't a complete halt. Brands like KTM and TVS also use international tyres. If such news emerges for other models too, it could disappoint enthusiasts. Fortunately, customers can still replace these tyres, albeit with a bit of extra investment, to maintain their preferred riding experience.
Verdict
While the shift to domestically manufactured tires may disrupt the initial excitement, it showcases the adaptability of manufacturers to regulatory changes. Customers may need to adjust their expectations and consider the broader implications of government policies on the automotive market.
