Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) seems to be planning to launch a new special edition of its top-selling mis-size SUV Creta. The brand recently received an approval certificate for the upcoming Creta SE version. The upcoming Hyundai Creta SE could be a special edition version with some cosmetic and interior updates. Hyundai Creta SE Coming Soon - What To Expect?
The newly surfaced approval certificates have revealed the engine and transmission options of the upcoming Creta SE version and the variant that will be part of the SE version. The Creta SE will be available in the S(O) and SX(O) variants. The brand will launch the Creta SE with the 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine with a manual and IVT gearbox. The other engine option will be the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine mated with a manual and an automatic gearbox.
The upcoming SE version is expected to get some cosmetic changes compared to the regular variant. Moreover, we can expect changes on the inside in terms of colour theme and adding new accessories and other distinctive elements to make it different. The Creta is already available in a special Knight Edition with a black theme.
We can expect the teasers of the upcoming Creta SE version to be released in the coming days. Hyundai has officially not yet teased or revealed any details of the upcoming edition.
Hyundai Creta Engine Options
The Hyundai Creta comes with three different engine options which include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The NA petrol motor is mated to a 6-speed manual and an IVT gearbox. The diesel comes with a 6-speed manual and an AT gearbox. At last, the turbo petrol engine option comes with a 7-speed DCT only. However, the Creta N Line comes with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox mated with the turbo petrol engine.

The Hyundai Creta is one the top-selling mid-size SUV in the Indian market. Hyundai keeps on launching new editions of their vehicles to make them more appealing and to offer a distinctive appeal as compared to the regular variants and the upcoming Creta SE will be nothing less. The Creta competes with some of the popular mid-size SUVs such as Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate and others.
