The Jeep Compass has received yet another new lease of life, in the form of a new special edition with a few enhancements to keep it relevant in the Indian market. The Compass Sandstorm Edition can be had from Rs 19.49 lakh onwards (ex-showroom), with a Rs 49,999 price hike over the regular trims of the Compass.

Jeep Compass Sandstorm Edition Details

The Compass Sandstorm Edition retains the core design of the regular Compass, but some design enhancements include Sandstorm decals on the hood and the doors, along with Sandstorm Edition badging. On the inside, it it gets Sandstorm-themed upholstery with premium seat covers, carpets, and cargo mats.

In terms of features, the Compass Sandstorm Edition comes equipped with dashcams for both the front and rear, along with programmable ambient lighting. Otherwise, the interiors of the Compass remains unchanged, featuring the same dashboard and the 10.1-inch infotainment system.

Under the hood, the Compass Sandstorm Edition continues with the same 2.0-litre, turbo-diesel powertrain, producing 168bhp and 370Nm of torque, paired to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 9-speed torque converter automatic.

Verdict
The Compass Sandstorm Edition can be had in three different variants, and the dashcam is a welcome addition. The beige treatment also should give it a more sophisticated, premium feel.
