Kia Carens MPV has launched officially in the Indian market, the Carens. The Korean brand has nailed it in terms of pricing and features offered in the Carens. The vehicle is focused on family-oriented customers. The Kia Carens are based on the Seltos platform and feature the same powertrain options. Kia has placed the Carens at a competitive price range, with a starting price of Rs 8.99 lakh which goes up to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Kia Carens will be available in 5 trim levels Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. At a starting price of 8.99 lakh, the Kia Carens will directly lock horns with Maruti XL6, Mahindra Marazzo, and Maruti Ertiga.

Kia Carens Engine Specifications
The Kia Carens come with three engine options mated with manual and automatic transmission. The Smartstream 1.5-litre petrol, Smartstream 1.4-litre T-GDi turbo-petrol, and a 1.5 CRDi VGT diesel engine are among the Carens' powertrain options. All three engines will come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, but the turbo-petrol and oil burner engines will have the option of a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission and a 6-speed torque converter unit, respectively.

In terms of interior features, basics like air conditioning vents for all three rows and a one-touch electric-assisted tumble function for the second-row seat for simpler access to the third row are standard on all models. Auto climate control, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with connected car technology, keyless entry, cruise control, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, a rearview camera, and other features are available on higher models.

At the safety front, Kia has included six airbags, ABS, ESC, hill start and descent control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system standard on all Carens models.
