Tata Curvv CNG: As we reported earlier, Tata Motors was also working on a CNG-powered version of the newly launched Tata Curvv. Confirming the previous news, a CNG-powered test mule of the coupe SUV has recently been spotted. Previously in works, we are expecting that the Curvv CNG will arrive in our market soon. However, there would be no major changes in terms of features; the Curvv CNG might share its engine with the Nexon. What can you expect? Will there be any changes? Tata Curvv CNG Spyshots

However, nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but with our expertise, we can say that the CNG version will get the same 1.2-litre Revotron turbo CNG engine as the Tata Nexon. The Curvv CNG will be the second product in the brand's lineup to have a wide array of fuel options - diesel, petrol, electric, and CNG. Once launched, the Tata Curvv CNG will be India's first SUV to get the dual-cylinder technology.
In the recently spied test mule, there was no emission testing equipment visible, and it was completely camouflaged. It is possible that the automaker was conducting the test to check the internal components. For the reason that the test mule was fully camouflaged, not many details come out of the spyshots.
Will It Get Lesser Features?

As it is a CNG version of the Curvv, we are not expecting that the Curvv CNG will be less equipped than other variants. The CNG option might be available with all the variants of the coupe SUV. As I mentioned above that the engine would be the same as the Nexon CNG, and the power figures might remain the same at 99 bhp and 170 Nm on CNG mode. Some people from the industry even suggest that the Curvv CNG will get an Automatic gearbox (AMT).
Rivals and Price Hike

The primary rival of the Tata Curvv is the Hyundai Creta, and it doesn't get a CNG option. But there are options such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser which are available with a CNG option. Notably, neither of the above mentioned two get dual-cylinder technology, which will be available with the Tata Curvv CNG for sure. The dual-cylinder proves more practical because it leaves more storage to store luggage. Last but not least, we are expecting each variant of the Tata Curvv CNG to cost around Rs. 1 lakh more than their current pricing.
