2025 MG Windsor: What's In Store For Buyers?

2025 MG Windsor EV will bring along some very nice feature upgrades, but the spotlight stays with the bigger battery pack on offer. It is likely to offer a 50.6 kWh battery pack, which is currently available in international markets like Indonesia with the Wuling Cloud EV. The larger battery pack, expected to be offered in the top-spec variant, is estimated to deliver a range of around 460 km per charge (as per ARAI MIDC figures). Notably, currently it is available in a 38 kWh option, which claims a certified range of 331 km on a single charge.

Not just this, the Windsor is likely to offer a level-2 ADAS as well, which is also one of the main highlights after the longer range variant. Although some more updates could make their way with the 2025 iteration, we will have to see what ends up with it at the time of its launch. The MG Windsor EV offers a premium electric SUV experience with a strong emphasis on comfort and enough tech already. It features a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, reclining rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, powered seats, and wireless charging. Safety is addressed with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and MG's i-Smart connected features. There's also a spacious 604-liter boot. However, unlike its international version, the Windsor EV misses out on ADAS features available in the Wuling Cloud EV as for now, but it is now soon going to change.

Apart from the bigger battery pack, the current model comes with a 38 kWh LFP battery with prismatic cells, paired with a front-mounted motor that produces 136bhp and 200Nm of torque. It offers a claimed range of 331km on a full charge. Drivers can switch between four drive modes: Eco, Eco+, Normal, and Sport, allowing them to switch based on their needs.
