In India, Kia has released their fourth vehicle, the Kia Carens MPV. This MPV has generated a stir in India's MPV segment, with an introductory price of Rs 8.99 lakh. The Kia Carens is a well-equipped MPV with five engine options and five variants. In addition, the MPV has two seating configurations. The Carens comes with three engine options- a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The engines are coupled to various gearbox options, including a six-speed manual on the 1.5-litre petrol, a six-speed manual and torque converter AT unit on the 1.5-litre diesel, and a six-speed manual and 7-speed DCT unit on the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol.

At safety front, six airbags, ABS, ESC, hill start and descent control, hill-assist control, all-wheel disc brakes, and a tyre pressure monitoring system are standard on all Kia Carens variants.
Kia Carens Premium Rs 8.99 Rs 10.99 Lakh (Ex-showroom)
The Kia Carens Premium is the MPV's entry-level trim and is priced from Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). All three engine options are available in the Premium version, but only with a six-speed manual transmission.

The Kia Carens' third variant is available with 1.4-litre turbo petrol with six-speed manual and DCT transmission, and a 1.5-litre diesel with six-speed manual transmission.

The Carens Luxury Plus is the top-of-the-line variant, with two engine selections and four transmission choices. The 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines are available in this trim, with both manual and automatic transmission options.
