The launch of Kia Carnival is just days away and while you are reading this piece, we are already driving the premium MPV in Hyderabad. It competes with the popular MPV, Toyota Innova Crysta and before Kia Carnival gets launched, we will tell you a total of five features that make it a premium option over the Toyota Innova Crysta.
Of course, the Kia Carnival will be priced higher than the Crysta but with the increased pricing comes premium-ness and more features. We have combined a total of five exclusive features Kia Carnival gets over the Crysta.
Power Sliding Doors
Oh c'mon now, don't say that you are not fascinated by this feature. The rear sliding doors open with a button so you get in or out of the MPV royally. This is mostly seen in expensive MPVs like Mercedes V-Class and Toyota Vellfire. This feature surely gives an edge over the Toyota Innova Crysta.
Multiple Seating Configuration
Now, you don't have to settle for Toyota Innova Crysta to fit in your big family when you go out for trips. Kia Carnival does this job for you and makes you travel in style. The premium MPV offers seven, eight and nine seating configurations. The seven-seater Carnival packs in standard captain seats at the middle row and the eight-seater get four captain seats and a bench for the last row. The nine-seater gets a four-row layout with six captain seats and the last will be bench seating.

Dual-pane Sunroof
A sunroof is not a necessary item you look for when you're buying a car but the South Korean manufacturer gets the term right when understanding the Indian audience. And that is, you get to make an impression only once on Indians. And I guess by introducing dual-pane sunroof in the Carnival, I am sure people will like this feature. Moreover, for such a long car, dual sunroofs just let out the feeling of being claustrophobic.
Connected Car Technology
Kia's debut car, Seltos, comes with the UVO connect. The connected car features allow you to get control of the Live traffic information, live car tracking, Remote engine start/stop, Remote AC control, AI voice command, desired destination search, Stolen vehicle tracking, RSA, SOS emergency, monthly health report, maintenance alert and several other features.

Powerful Engine
Kia Carnival will only be available in one powertrain option - a sole BS6 2.2L turbocharged diesel engine. This produces a total of 200 bhp along with a peak torque of 440 Nm. Seeing its competition, the Innova just brings out 147 bhp on the table with 340 Nm of torque. While not everyone likes an oil burner, Crysta has en edge here as it is also available with a petrol engine. The 2.7L motor produces 165 bhp with 345 Nm of torque.
