Mahindra has now confirmed that the launch of eKUV100 for private buyers will happen in the coming three months and we expect it to be priced below Rs 10 lakh mark which will not only make it an affordable option but will increase its base in the Indian shores.

This eKUV100 will pack in a total driving range of 147 km which seems adequate for city usage. Yes, it is quite low when compared with the other electric vehicles present in the market but given its price, it seems right. After all, most EV owners charge their vehicles at home and then at dealerships.
Based on the MESMA platform, the eKUV100 is powered by a 15.4 kWh battery pack and this electric motor makes as much as 54.35 PS of power with a peak torque of 120 Nm. Yes, like the driving range which is limited to 147 km only, this right here is also low on paper. But based on the size, we are sure the eKUV100 will be a perfect blend to promote EVs in a budget. Being the liquid-cooled battery, it supports fast charging and the eKUV100 can be charged to 80% in just 55 minutes.

Design-wise, the electric version of the KUV100 carries subtle changes from the conventional fuel system. Like the blue highlights on the exteriors to make a difference followed by EV badging. Also, the blue highlight continues on the seat too to differ it from the petrol KUV100 NXT.
Feature-wise, this EV will have a touchscreen infotainment unit, manual AC, multi-function steering wheel, central locking and other features. Safety-wise, it will carry dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system and front seat belt reminder.
