As we are gearing up into 2025, Mahindra is looking to clear its 2024 inventory of the existing 3-door Thar. The reason is that since the launch of the new generation, the 4-door Thar has become immensely popular among its admirers.
This 3-door comes up with as many as three engine options: a 1.5 litre diesel, 2.2 litre diesel, and a 2.0 litre turbo petrol. Mahindra Thar 4WD
This December, Mahindra is offering discounts of up to Rs 3.06 lakh on the 4WD variants. The Earth edition, which was launched back in February 2024 gets benefits of around Rs 3.06 lakh. However, this Earth edition is priced at Rs 15.40 lakh and goes up to Rs 17.60 lakh, prices being ex-showroom. This variant is available in 6 color options- Rage Red, Stealth black, Everest White, Deep Forest, Deep Grey, and Desert Fury. The 'Earth edition' comes equipped with 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine.
Mahindra Thar 2WD
The Mahindra Thar 2WD gets a whooping discount of up to Rs 1.31 lakh. The petrol versions were offered a discount of Rs 1 lakh earlier. For December though, the same has now been increased by Rs 31,000. So, the petrol-powered 2WD gets a total cut of around Rs 1.31 lakh. Meanwhile, on the diesel variants, one can avail of discounts up to Rs 56,000.
The Mahindra Thar is available with two engine options: a 2.0-liter petrol unit which produces 150 bhp and 300 nm of torque and a 2.2-liter diesel unit which gives out 130 bhp and 300 nm of torque. Moreover, these two engine options are available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Verdict
