Alongside the BE 6, prices for the Mahindra XEV 9E Pack Three have also been revealed at the ongoing Mahindra Tech Day. The XEV 9E Pack Three can be had from Rs 30.50 lakh onwards, and just like the BE 6, prices for the mid-spec variant remain undisclosed for now.

Mahindra XEV 9E Pack Three
The XEV 9E and the BE 6 are based on the same INGLO platform, and as such, the XEV also gets the same two battery pack options; a 59kWh unit and a 79kWh unit. Both cars also feature similar specifications; the 59kWh variant produces 227bhp, while the 79kWh variant produces 282bhp, and torque for both variants is rated at 380Nm.
The 79kWh variant gets an MIDC-claimed range of 656km on a single charge, while the 59kWh variant gets an MIDC-claimed range of 542km. As for charging these battery packs, here is a table listed below specifying the charging times and options.

Interiors And Features
The XEV 9E's interiors, while not being as radical as the BE 6's, still maintain a futuristic theme, as it flaunts a 12.3-inch tri-screen setup which extends all the way from the driver's side to the front passenger's side. Some other features on offer include a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, wireless smartphone connectivity, Amazon Alexa connectivity, level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 150-litre frunk, brake-by-wire, hill-hold control, rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlamps among many other things.

Verdict
The Mahindra XEV 9E is an interesting approach in the electric coupe-SUV segment, being among the few mass-market EVs with rear-wheel drive. Its tri-screen setup is also likely to be a standout feature among customers.
