Mahindra XUV700 Electric Spotted
The recently seen test mule had a striking appearance with half-camouflage, and the rear door part was painted Satin Copper. Even while the test mule and its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart appeared to be relatively identical, it is anticipated to get some exterior changes to set it apart from the petrol and diesel variants. The exterior design may incorporate changes to the front grille, back headlamp, and other noticeable locations, taking cues from the XUV400's subtle visual upgrades over the XUV300.
A triple screen layout spanning the dashboard is among the anticipated interior improvements for the SUV. The instrument cluster and driver information display will be displayed on one of the screens, while the infotainment display will be displayed on the centre screen. The front passenger will have access to the third screen. In addition, a distinctive interior design that distinguishes it from its internal combustion engine (ICE) cousin can be anticipated.

Mahindra Electric Powertain
Mahindra's upcoming electric cars will be built on the versatile INGLO platform. The brand has partnered with Volkswagen Group to use the INGLO platform. This new electric platform is designed to be modular and scalable, allowing for flexibility in vehicle development. Last year, when the brand showcased the prototypes of its electric SUV, it has disclosed that the battery options for these electric cars will range from 60 kWh to 80 kWh. Furthermore, it is highly probable that both rear-wheel drive (RWD) with a single motor and all-wheel drive (AWD) with dual motors configurations will be available as well.
Verdict: Mahindra has made a significant declaration of investing Rs 10,000 crore towards the advancement of electric vehicles. The brand showcased numerous electric vehicle models last year. Turning our attention to the recently sighted XUV700 electric variant, it is expected to hit the market in 2024 with an estimated price range of Rs 30-35 lakh.
