The MG Comet is one cute, quirky car, and most of it has to do with its diminutive size, but what if you wanted the same qualities in a slightly serious-looking package? It seems that MG is planning on the very same idea, as it has just released teasers of the Comet Blackstorm on social media.

MG Comet Blackstorm Details

From the teasers, and given MG's history, the Comet Blackstorm will mainly receive a new black paint scheme, along with red badging, red highlights lower on the front bumper, and red inserts on the wheel cover. We can also expect more red highlights towards the rear of the Comet.

On the inside, we can also expect all-black upholstery with red stitching for contrast, along with red badging on the headrests. The features list will likely remain the same with no major additions. It will carry over the 10.25-inch blended screen setup with wireless smartphone connectivity, along with a keyless system. hill-hold control, a tyre-pressure monitoring system, and a reverse parking camera among other things.
The Comet Blackstorm will also carry over the 17.3kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 230km on a single charge, along with a rear-wheel drive electric motor producing 41.4bhp and 110Nm of torque. It will likely be based on the top-end variants, with a slight premium in terms of the price.

Verdict
The MG Comet may not be the most practical car out there, but it definitely is one quirky solution to combat the ever-growing daily traffic in metro cities. The Blackstorm Edition will perhaps spice things up for buyers and draw in some more customers to the showrooms.
