For the buyers looking to improve the fuel efficiency of their vehicles, the good news is here. Michelin tyres have become India's first 5-star fuel economy-rated brand. The new tyres are up to 9.5 percent more fuel-efficient than the average tyres with lower ratings.

The government of India is consistently pushing the manufacturers to enhance green mobility. To achieve these newer goals, tyre brands will now have to undergo a rating system. This rating system tests the tyres for their sustainability and fuel economy. These new laws are set by Automotive Industry Standards & are bound to be mandatory from October 2022. The Bureau approves the safety & fuel economy rating of Energy Efficiency for various manufacturers.

Speaking of Michelin, it sent two different models for these tests. These include the Latitude Sport 3 & Pilot Sport 4. Both of these tyres have achieved a stupendous 5-star rating as per the BEE. These ratings will help the buyers who look for comfort & long mile-munching.
Apart from this, all the tyre manufacturers who sell their various products in India shall be undergoing these new standard tests soon. According to AIS, the new ratings are aimed to reduce the carbon footprint released by vehicles annually.
