The Audi Q7 will relaunch in a refreshed avatar next month that will feature a new engine, an updated exterior, and a revised interior
Audi India is all set to launch the new facelifted Q7 SUV next month, January 2022. The company has already commenced the assembly of the SUV at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) plant in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The facelift Q7 will follow the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route, and it will be assembled alongside, the new Q5.
Since production has already commenced, the variant-wise features and specifications of the upcoming Q7 have started to surface online. For starters, the new Audi Q7 facelift will come fitted with a new petrol-V6 engine. There will be two variants - Premium Plus and Technology, price for the both will be announced during its launch. Colour options include Carrara White, Mythos Black, Navarra Blue, Samurai Grey, and Floret Silver.

Both the 2022 Q7 variants will be powered by a 55 TFSI engine, aka, a 3.0-liter V6 engine that is BS6 compliant. Power output is rated at 335 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be handled by an 8-speed automatic transmission, alongside Quattro all-wheel drive, as standard. However, its top speed will be electronically limited to 250 kmph.
When it comes to features, the entry-level Premium Plus variant will come standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, eight airbags, LED headlamps, adaptive air suspension, ambient lighting, electrically-adjustable steering wheel, parking aid plus, four-zone climate control, power-adjustable front seats with memory function for driver's seat, and four-way lumbar support.

There will also be a new intuitive virtual cockpit, along with the Audi Sound System (the number of speakers is unknown). On-board, theres Audi Phone Box with wireless charging and Audis Smartphone Interface that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The top model, Q7 Technology, will get all the above features plus, adaptive windshield wipers, and an air quality package along with Audis own air fragrance/. Theres also a new comfort key with sensor-controlled for the release of the luggage compartment. Second-row and third-row passengers get a pair of extra USB ports with charging functions. Theres also Audis Park Assist with 3D Surround View Camera, and a 730W Bangs and Olufsen-surround sound speaker system. And last but not the least, the Technology variant gets the matrix LED headlights as standard, which might feature as an option on the Premium Plus variant.
The new facelift Audi Q7 is likely to see a price bump. Earlier iterations would range between Rs. 80.17 lakh-Rs. 95.74 lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi). In this price range, the Audi Q7 will compete against the likes of the BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS, and the Volvo XC90.
