New Renault Duster Now Cheaper Than Maruti Brezza LXI? We Explain

Renault Duster was once a popular car in the Indian market. Its punchy diesel was the key attraction and it was available in two tunes - 85 PS and 110 PS. However, with the introduction of BS6 norms, the oil burner was axed and the French carmaker shifted its focus towards the 1.5L non-turbo and 1.3L turbo petrol engine. With the increased demand of rivals like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, Duster sales were hampered a lot. So much so that, Renault is now providing a whopping Rs 2.41 lakh worth of discount on the MY2021 model of the Duster. And going with this, the base variant of the mid-size SUV is now cheaper than Maruti Brezza LXI.

It is not sure whether this discount is for the base, mid or top-spec variants but if it is applicable even for the base RXS 1.5 then the Duster will be priced at Rs 7.45 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It is much cheaper than the Maruti Brezza LXI standing at Rs 7.68 lakh.
