Ultraviolette To Introduce New Bike Next Year
At EICMA 2024, Ultraviolette Automotive showcased the Concept X, an adventure motorcycle still in its concept phase. With its rugged design featuring knuckle guards, engine protection, a high-rise beak-like fender, and sharp fuel tank extensions, the Concept X gives off a distinctive ADV vibe. It was seen with 17-inch wheels, suggesting that the bike leans more towards road-focused adventure touring rather than off-road capabilities. If the Concept X evolves into Ultraviolette's next release in 2025, it will certainly be exciting to see an electric ADV enter the Indian two-wheeler market. However, it still looks like a soft-roader in the concept stage, the production model could be a little more equipped to take on difficult terrain.
Ultraviolette currently focuses on the F77 electric motorcycle, but the brand aims to expand its portfolio to include four distinct segments: ADV, cruiser, roadster, and supersports within the next three years. While the Concept X, may not be an immediate contender for the Indian market, its ADV segment holds significant potential, offering versatility and appeal to a wider audience. To maintain the brand's growth and customer interest, Ultraviolette needs to diversify its offerings beyond its current single model and an ADV might be too niche to be that missing piece.

Verdict
Being a single product company can only atke you so far and this is something that the brand is aware of. Operating in a niche segemnt of electric bikes, which currebtly sells way lees than the electric scooters, the mass appeal needs a greater push and the introduction of newer models, hopefully in a more affordable price segment could prove to be a big booster in the price sensitive Indian market.
