Brixton Motorcycles have been courting Indian customers for over a year now, and in October, they finally opened bookings for the November 18 launch date. With November 18 just around the corner, in a few days, two Cromwell 500 bikes and two Crossfire series bikes will be available to the public.
This Austrian motorcycle manufacturer has partnered with KAW Veloce Motors Pvt. Ltd. to set up a production facility in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, with a goal of producing 40,000 units from this plant. Brixton Motorcycles
So, there four motorcycles on offer, Cromwell 1200, Cromwell 1200X, Crossfire 500 X, and Crossfire 500 XC. The Crossfire is a neo-retro roadster bike, while the Cromwell is a modern classic. Now, onto their specifications and more details:
- Cromwell 1200 - Water-cooled, inline 2-cylinder, 1222cc displacement engine that produces 83 hp and 108 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Other features include LED lights and indicators, Bosch ABS and traction control, and multiple riding modes. International models are available in three colors, and in Europe, it is priced at Rs 9.91 lakh (ex-showroom).
- Cromwell 1200 X - This bike is mechanically similar to the 1200 but features several exterior changes aimed at making it look more athletic. It offers a choice between two colors, and in Europe, it costs Rs 10.36 lakh.
- Crossfire 500 X - 486cc inline two-cyclinder engine with 47.6 hp and 43 Nm of torque, full LED lights, Bosch dual channel ABS, telescopic fork upside down, and adjustable brake and clutch lever. Expected price of this bike could be Rs 6.5 lakh.
- Crossfire 500 XC - This is the off-road version of the Crossfire 500 X, with a suspension setup offering 150 mm of front travel and 130 mm of rear travel. The upside-down fork is adjustable for compression, while the central shock is adjustable for spring preload and rebound. Finally, the front wheels are 19 inches, and the rear wheel is 17 inches. Expected price of this bike is somewhere around 6.5 to 7 lakh.
