Okinawa Autotech's new manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, has commenced production. This is the brand's second manufacturing facility in India, and it will mostly be used to produce the upcoming Okhi90 scooter. This will be the company's flagship product with a range of over 150km along with other useable and practical features.
The company says that the facility is one of a kind, with state-of-the-art infrastructure and machinery to build the country's most innovative electric two-wheelers. Okinawa is rapidly developing its local manufacturing portfolio in India, and it is on track to meet the country's high double-digit increase in demand for Electric 2-Wheelers.

With this new manufacturing facility and increased production capacity, Okinawa Autotech is aiming to produce two-wheelers for the Indian market as well as for exports worldwide. In the beginning, the company aims to produce around 3 lakh electric vehicles (EVs) per year at the new factory, which will eventually be expanded to a capacity of 1 million in the following 2-3 yearsmore than 5X the current full capacity of the plant in Alwar, Rajasthan.

The company would invest over INR 250 crore in the development of its new facilities, with significant strategic investments to scale up production to follow. Okinawa Autotech will take advantage of the infrastructure and logistics to better serve the country. Also, the new manufacturing facility will help in giving employment opportunities to the people. Over 250 individuals will work at the new manufacturing plant in a variety of roles.
The company's first plant, at Alwar (also in Rajasthan), produced 1.8 lakh units per year. The company has a well-knit dealership network with over 400 locations serving metro cities, Tier 2, Tier 3, and rural regions in India in order to fulfill the growing demand for their scooters. The brand recently opened two Okinawa Galaxy stores in Dehradun and Jaipur, which are state-of-the-art experience centres.
