Ola Electric is one of the most successful electric scooter brands in the country and recently, it has crossed the 50,000 production mark. The company claims that they are manufacturing 800 electric scooters a day and this number will increase to 2,000 in the near future.
Ola has also benefitted from the Indian market due to its popularity and has delivered 9,000 electric scooters in March 2022 alone. It is the second-largest electric scooter brand, the first being Hero Electric. The current production capacity is at 15 lakh units annually because of the shortage of parts. If it wasn't for the shortage of parts, Ola would be manufacturing 1 crore scooters annually at full capacity.
Ola currently has two scooters in their line-up - S1 and S1 Pro. The S1 is priced from Rs 97,706 and gets a 2.98 kWh battery pack. This generates 11 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 58 Nm. These power and torque figures are the same for the bigger, S1 Pro too. The top speed of Ola S1 is limited to 90 kmph only and gets a riding range of 121 km.
The Ola S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1.21 lakh and gets a top speed of 115 kmph. It is equipped with a bigger battery, 3.97 kWh which gives a better riding range of 181 km. Ola S1 gets two riding modes - Normal and Sport while the S1 Pro gets Normal, Sports and Hyper.
Feature-wise, both the scooters are equipped with a twin-pod headlight design with LED daytime running light, an LED taillight, 36-litres boot capacity, proximity lock and unlock, reverse mode, follow me home headlight function, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity, over the air updates and more.
