Ola Electric has expanded its electric scooter portfolio by launching 4 new products. These include Ola Gig, Gig Plus, S1 Z and S1 Z Plus- starting at Rs. 39,999 (Gig) and going up to Rs. 64,999 (S1 Z Plus), ex-showroom. New Ola Scooters with Removable Batteries
All four newly launched models get removable batteries and are purposefully made to serve various needs. These scooters can be used in both urban and rural areas. The company has announced that it will start delivering the Gig in April 2025 and the S1 Z Series in May 2025.
Ola Gig- Rs 39,999
The Ola Gig serves better for short-distance commutes. According to the brand, it is an ideal electric scooter for gig workers with a maximum range of 112 km/charger and a top speed of 25 kmph. The Gig comes powered by a 1.5 kWh removable battery. It has a simple and traditional electric scooter design. The electric scooter runs on 12-inch tyres. The Ola Gig is the most affordable option among the newly launched four models with a price tag of Rs. 39,999.
Ola Gig Plus - Rs. 49,999
The Ola Gig Plus on the other hand is capable of covering longer distances with a higher payload than the standard model. The Gig Plus can run with a top speed of 45 kmph and it supports a dual battery setup, providing a range of 157 km/charge.
Ola S1 Z - Rs. 59,999
The Ola S1 Z is an urban electric scooter, powered by two 1.5 kWh batteries. The dual battery setup provides a range of 146 km/charge. This electric scooter can run with a top speed of 70 kmph. In terms of features, the S1 Z gets an LCD instrument console and a physical key. Powering the wheels is a 2.9 kWh hub motor which helps it to sprint from 0-40 in just 4.8 seconds.
Ola S1 Z Plus - 64,999
The top-end Ola S1 Z Plus on the other hand gets all the features on offer with the standard model. What it gets extra is a higher payload capacity, making it a good multi-purpose electric scooter. Along with these scooters, the company has also launched the PowerPod which helps users utilize these batteries as inverters in case of power outages in their area.
