Ola Electric has announced that the buyers of the Ola S1 and S1 pro will get a chance to test ride the two e-scooters from November 10 onwards. The brand has also moved the dates for the final payment for its e-scooters so that its customers can have a real-life and hands-on experience.
The brand has pushed the original date for final payment in a bid to stick with its promise of providing the vehicle for a test ride before purchase. Ola has made it clear that despite the delay in the final payment date, the company will deliver the vehicle to its customers on time. The deliveries of the two e-scooters ie. Ola S1 Pro and S1 will commence in the second half of November.
Initially, the purchase window for the e-scooters was between 15th and 16th September. The brand claims that on the said dates, Ola has sold scooters worth Rs.1,100 crore. According to tech2, the total order bank with Ola electric for its e-scooters is more than one lakh units. In addition to this, the bookings for the two e-scooters have crossed lakhs. The brand has also stated that fresh orders will be taken from next month but the price of the scooters is likely to increase.

As for the two EVs, Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro come fitted with a motor that churns out 8.5kW and 58 Nm of torque. The top speed of the Ola S1 is 90kmph while the S1 Pro has a top speed of 115kmph. The S1 has a battery range capacity of 181km per charge, however, the S1 pro only gets 121km per charge.
The S1 is the most affordable when compared to its sibling, however, it gets similar features such as a 7.0-inch touch display with navigation. The touchscreen system is powered by an octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM. Also, the Ola S1 supports Bluetooth, WiFi and 4G connectivity like its elder sibling, the Ola S1 Pro. Another feature that the S1 gets is a proximity sensor that offers a lock/unlock feature, reverse mode among many other functions.
