Ola S1 Powertrain

The first major difference is the battery packs powering the two scooters. The S1 Pro comes with a 4kWh battery while the S1 has a small 3kWh unit. Thus, the effect on the riding range is quite evident. The Pro has a claimed ARAI range of 181 km and a true range of up to 170 km per charge. But, due to the small battery on the S1, it can do a claimed 141 km and a true 128 km per charge.

Ola S1 Pro

However, the smaller battery helps reduce the charging time. Because the S1 can get fully charged within 5 hours while the Pro takes 6 hours and 30 minutes to get completely charged.

Performance & Specifications

Meanwhile, the electric motor on both of the variants is the same 5.5kW unit. However, the tuning is different on the base variant. Ola has reduced the top-end performance to make up for more riding range on the S1. This means that the base variant can do a claimed top speed of 95 kmph. Contrary to this, the Pro does around 115 kmph as per claims of the company.

Ola Electric S1 Pro

The electric motor generates a peak output of 8.5kW on both of the scooters. However, the S1 has been provided with only 3 riding modes to use its battery potential. These include - Eco, Normal, & Sport. On the other hand, the Pro has got the additional Hypermode for ballistic EV performance.

Geeky Features

When we speak about features on an e-scooter, Ola is the first name that hits the mind instantly. Yes known for equipping its e-scooters with loads of performance; the company has done the same on the S1. It comes with all the features seen on the Pro. A 7-inch TFT infotainment, Google Maps, Reverse Mode, etc., are all fitted on both of the variants.

However, it is the cruise control that users will miss on the S1. With that said, Ola is currently working on new features that will be added soon to this e-scooter. We predict that these will include the likes of Hill Hold, voice controls, moods, and maybe even an ICE-powered scooter exhaust note as well.

Colours

Ola S1 Pro Move OS 2.0

If you are the one who wants to buy an e-scooter with flashy and fancy colours; Ola has everything you need. For the customers who pay more, the company's Pro scooter offers 11 colour options for the extra money. However, if you buy the base variant, it comes with only 5 colour options.
