Ola's New Scooter: Expected Pricing And Design Tweaks
The exciting launch is scheduled for August 15th and it's poised to come with a price tag lower than the current Rs. 1,09,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru) of the S1 Air. However, it's worth noting that the Air variant's price will surge by Rs. 10,000 after this date, bringing it to Rs. 1,19,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
A glimpse at the teaser reveals some alterations, including a distinct handlebar design, slightly different switch-cubes, rounded mirrors, and a new headlight cowl. These subtle cosmetic tweaks hint at a refreshed appearance while keeping some familiar elements from the S1 Air.

The teaser hints at a fully digital console and ride modes, suggesting that the new S1 model could also feature LED lighting. When it comes to the technical aspects, the upcoming Ola e-scooter is expected to retain the S1 Air's telescopic front forks, twin rear shocks, and drum brakes on both ends.
As the upcoming Ola electric scooter positions itself beneath the S1 Air, it might offer fewer features and a bit less range and speed. Due to the lower expected price, it's likely to skip the touchscreen console. The new model aims to be more budget-friendly, suiting a wider range of wallets.
Verdict
While we don't have all the info yet, the sneak peek shows the new scooter might have some small design tweaks. The new model might not have everything, but it's aiming to be more affordable and fit more people's pockets. It will compete with rivals such as Bounce Infinity E1, Hero Electric Optima, Okinawa Praise Pro.
