Pure EV has been around since 2018, having launched its first electric scooter in 2020, and since then it has also progressed towards electric motorcycles. The electric two-wheeler maker is now offering discounts on its motorcycles in order to cash in on the festive season benefits.

Pure EV ecoDryft Discounts
The EV maker currently offers the ecoDryft in two different trims; the standard ecoDryft, and the ecoDryft 350. With Pure EV offering a Rs 20,000 discount on its motorcycles, the ecoDryft can be had from Rs 99,999 onwards, while the the ecoDryft 350 is priced at Rs 1.09 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
In terms of looks, not much is different is between the two motorcycles. The headlight has been lifted off of a famous Indian streetfighter motorcycle, and the rest of the design is what one would expect of a commuter motorcycle.
The ecoDryft and the ecoDryft 350 come with a 3kWh and a 3.5kWh battery pack respectively, and while the ecoDryft gets a claimed range between 106km to 151km on a single charge, the ecoDryft 350 claims to cover between 131km to 171km. In terms of charging, the standard ecoDryft takes a claimed 6 hours for a full charge, while the ecoDryft 350 does the same in a claimed 4-6 hours.
The standard ecoDryft also weighs lesser at 95kg, while the ecoDryft 350's kerb weight is rated at 110kg. As for equipment, both motorcycles come with a remote security function, a digital cluster, and three riding modes. Pure EV also claims to offer hill-start assist, smart regen braking and parking assist.
Pure EV eTryst X Discounts
Unlike the ecoDryft, the eTryst X is available in one variant only. The eTryst X is originally priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, and with the ongoing discount, its prices have now come down to Rs 1.29 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
The eTryst X gets a 3.5kWh battery pack, with a claimed range of 171km on a single charge. Unlike the ecoDryft which gets a 18-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel setup, the eTryst X gets 17-inch wheels on both ends. The eTryst X can be fully charged in a claimed time of 6 hours, and it can reach a claimed top speed of 94kmph. Its hub-mounted electric motor produces a peak output of 5.3bhp, and in terms of features, it receives similar equipment to the ecoDryft.

Verdict
Pure EV's electric motorcycles are among the few available in the Indian market today, and the Rs 20,000 flat off might make them more appealing to buyers. However, as always, take a comprehensive test ride before making a final decision.
