Revolt Motors, the homegrown electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced the opening of another retail store in South India with a new dealership in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The opening of the latest store has taken place within days of the opening of the first outlet in East India in the city of Kolkata. Also, this is the 17th dealership of Revolt Motors across the country. Next, the company will open two more retail stores in Coimbatore & Vijayawada on the 8th and 13th December 2021, respectively.

It must be noted here that the Tamil Nadu government is offering EV OEMs incentives that range from a complete reimbursement of the state GST paid on sales of the vehicle to an exemption from paying any electricity tax for the production of EVs. Furthermore, the government is even providing a 15-20% subsidy on the land cost. There is even a full exemption from motor vehicle taxes for BEVs until 2022.

In recent times, even the Andhra Pradesh government has come up with many policies to promote quicker adoption and production of electric vehicles. The government of AP is offering man subsidiaries to buyers of EVs like a complete exemption from road tax. Meanwhile, in the next few months, Revolt Motors will open dealerships in more than 50 new cities across India, including Chandigarh, NCR and Lucknow.
By early next year, Revolt Motors will be seen entering as many as 59 new cities in the country, including Lucknow, Chandigarh, and NCR. It must be noted that the carmaker has already opened up a retail store in Vizag. Revolt Motors also enjoys a presence in Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai.
So far, the Revolt RV400 has been the most popular product from the EV manufacturer. It's powered by a 3KW (mid-drive) motor that draws its juice from a 72V 3.24kWh Lithium-Ion battery. The electric motorcycle enjoys a top speed of 85 kmph and its users can benefit from the convenience of battery swapping service offered through Revolt Switch Stations. The users of the RV400 can even make use of the MyRevolt App that offers numerous connectivity features like geofencing, motorcycle locator, faux exhaust notes that can be changed through a tap on the screen, vehicle diagnostics, battery status, and even locate the nearest battery-swapping centre.

Also, the Revolt RV400 offers its riders three riding modes - Normal, Eco and Sport. The rider can toggle between these modes based on his usage conditions. Other highlights of the equipment list include LED headlamp, LCD instrument cluster, fully-adjustable rear monoshock and Upside Down (USD) forks.
