Skoda Compact SUV Spied Testing: A Clear View Of What's Coming
The latest entrant to the sub-4 meter category is going to be the Skoda Compact SUV, which is now undergoing a rigorous test regime. While it has been spotted on quite a few occasions already, the latest shots will give you the clearest view yet. Just by the looks of it, it is clearly identifiable, even when it sits behind the black-white camo sheet. While it is a typical Skoda vehicle, just the side profile is enough to give it away. Moreover, the rear doors are crunched in size to achieve that critical sub-4-meter size

In addition to the mentioned updates, the upcoming Skoda Compact SUV retains its distinctive design elements, including bold shoulder lines, chunky cladding, prominent quarter glass, and striking blacked-out alloy wheels, maintaining its rugged and stylish appearance. The SUV continues to feature LED tail lamps, potentially with a connected light bar, a popular trend among consumers, enhancing aesthetics to a level above.
Interior And Features
Drawing inspiration from its elder sibling, the Skoda Kushaq, the top-spec trims of this compact SUV are likely to inherit several features. Among these are anticipated to be a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, a wireless charging pad, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and a fully digital instrument cluster, providing a blend of comfort, convenience, and advanced safety technologies.
Engine Details
The forthcoming Skoda compact SUV will feature a sturdy 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, boasting an output of 115hp and 178Nm of torque. It will come paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Notably, in line with Skoda's current strategy in India, there won't be a diesel powertrain option available for this model.
While it is expected to launch in March 2025 at a starting price of around Rs. 8 lakhs, it will directly rival the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and others.
