The Tata Nexon is one of the best selling sub-4m SUVs in the market and not only boasts a good-looking exterior design and a practical cabin but in addition to this, is also one of the few cars in India to score a five-star safety crash test ratings. The car is available with petrol, diesel as well as an electric powertrain and competes against the rivals like Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, etc. The Tata Nexon price in India was recently revised and the car is now priced from INR 7.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant. In addition to this, the brand has also discontinued four diesel variants from Nexon's line-up. Here are all the details that you should know about this price hike.
The Indian carmaker has hiked the price of the Nexon by up to INR 11,000 depending on the trim option while the price of many variants remains unchanged. While the price of the petrol and diesel XZ+ manual variants is the same as before, the price of the diesel XZA+ (O) Dark Edition is now INR 11,000 more than before. Likewise, no changes have been made to the prices of the petrol XZ+, XZA+ Dark Edition, and sunr00f equipped-diesel XM (S) trims. The brand has also made changes to the variant line-up and the diesel range now starts from the mid-spec XM variant while three other diesel variants - XMA, XZ, and XZA+ (S) - are no more available.

The Tata Nexon is available with two engine options that include 1.2-L turbo petrol and 1.5-L diesel. The petrol engine churns out a 120 PS and a peak torque output of 170 Nm. This engine comes mated to a six-speed manual as well as an AMT gearbox. The diesel on the other hand boasts a peak power and torque output of 110 PS and 260 Nm respectively. Just like the petrol engine, the diesel engine too is available with a six-speed manual as well AMT gearbox. Moreover, both these engines are available with Mult-Drive Modes that include - ECO, City, and Sport.
The Nexon EV on the other hand boasts a peak power output of 129 Ps while the maximum torque output stands at 245 Nm. The motor is powered by a 30.2 kWh high energy density lithium-ion battery pack with liquid cooling and IP 67 rating. The car can accelerate from 0kmph to 100kmph in just 9.9 secs (claimed) and gets multiple drive modes that include drive and sports. The Nexon EV price starts from INR 14.24 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant.
