The Audi Q7 India launch was preceded by bookings earlier this month, wherein, customers could book the SUV for an amount of Rs. 5 lakhs.
After its worldwide launch in 2019, the mid-life facelift Audi Q7 India launch is finally set to happen on February 3rd, 2022. It will be brought in via the CKD route, and local assembly for the same has already started at the carmaker's Aurangabad-based facility.
The Q7 was taken off the shelves back in April 2020 due to stricter BS6 norms. But now, the new 2022 Audi Q7 comes with a petrol engine only, the details of which we have discussed below. Coming back to the Q7, well start off with its looks. The facelift Q7 features several styling tweaks, which now make it look sleeker than before. The front fascia boasts of a new sharp-edged hexagonal grille further complemented by aggressive-looking headlights that gets the MATRIX LED lights. The rear fascia also gets new LED lighting fixtures, along with a chrome strip that runs along the width of the hatch door. The 2022 Q7 is now 11 mm longer with 5,063 mm of overall length. However, from the side, the Q7 has remained impeccably the same.

On the inside, the Audi Q7 has always been loaded with features, and the 2022 version follows the same suit too. For starters, there are three screens now at the front. One for the virtual cockpit instrument cluster, and one for the infotainment system, and below it, is the MMI display with climate control settings. The feature distribution as per their trims is not specified as of yet, well have to wait for it during the launch.
However, the Q7 that you see in the pictures above is of the Technology trim. This top-spec model will further get Bangs & Olufsen premium 3D surround sound system, Lane Departure warning, a 360-degree camera, Auto-park assist,4-zone climate control, etc. Furthermore, the Q7 gets three-row seatings and it can easily seat 7 people.

Mechanically, the 2022 Q7 will boast a 3.0-liter V6 engine that churns out 340 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, wherein the latter kicks in as early as 1370 RPM. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, along with standard Quattro All-Wheel Drive. But how good is the engine when driven on road?
