Triumph Scrambler 1200 X: Hardware Dimension
The newer Triumph Scrambler lacks adjustable suspension at both ends, unlike its predecessor, the XC. It only offers rear preload adjustment and uses axially mounted Nissin callipers instead of the M50s found on the XC for braking.
In terms of dimensions, the handlebars are 834 mm wide, with a wheelbase of 1525 mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres.
Notably, the seat height is lower on the 1200 X at 820 mm, providing improved feet-down confidence compared to the XE model. An accessory seat option is available, lowering the seat height to 795 mm.
Triumph Scrambler 1200 X: Features And Service Interval
The 1200 X sports a round display akin to Triumph's 660cc models and the Street Triple R, with optional Bluetooth for turn-by-turn navigation and notifications. It offers five riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport, Off-road, and customizable Rider mode.
In true Triumph fashion, there are 70+ official accessories available, spanning both aesthetic and functional categories. Service is required every 10,000 miles (16,000 km) or 12 months, whichever comes first.
Verdict
This new motorcycle presents a compelling proposition for adventure enthusiasts seeking a versatile and stylish ride. Its blend of performance, technology, and customization options make it a strong contender in the adventure motorcycle segment.
