Triumph, a British motorcycle brand, has announced the launch date of its Tiger Sport 660 motorcycle on its social media site. The motorcycle will make its debut in India on March 29th, and pre-bookings are already open. Upon launch, it will compete with the Kawasaki Versys 650, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, and other adventure motorcycles.

The adventure motorcycle is based on the same platform as the Trident 660 and features the same 660cc, liquid-cooled, inline-3 cylinder engine. The engine churns out 80 bhp power and 64 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox. The Tiger Sport 660 model has a redesigned sub-frame and a longer travel suspension arrangement.
It boasts a powerful front fascia with dual sharp LED headlamps and a tall visor when it comes to design. These changes are intended to improve the company's touring capability. A semi-fairing and tall windscreen, a step-up seat, integrated pannier mounts, and an underbelly exhaust are among the aesthetic features.
Features of the Tiger Sport 660 includes a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument cluster, two riding modes Road and Rain, switchable traction control, dual-channel ABS, and an optional bi-directional quick-shifter are among the features. Lucerne Blue Sapphire Black, Korosi Red Graphite, and Graphite Sapphire Black are the three dual-tone colours available globally.

The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 will be the most affordable motorcycle of the Triumph Tiger lineup which also consists Tiger 850, Tiger 900, and Tiger 1200, in India. The cost is likely to be between Rs 8.5 lakh to Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
