Every month Indian market sees the launch of new cars and as the year comes to an end, December 2022 is no different either. In this article, we share the list of upcoming cars that will be launching in December 2022. Here are all the details!
Mercedes-Benz GLB and EQB
Both the 7-seater SUVs from the German carmaker will be launched on December 2. Surprisingly, both vehicles will be brought to India via the CBU route. The GLB will be the second 7-seater SUV from Mercedes-Benz and its interior is inspired by the popular, GLA. This SUV will be offered in three variants - GLB 200 Petrol, GLB 220d and the GLB 220d 4MATIC.
The EQB is the electric version of the GLB and the third EV from Mercedes-Benz after EQC and EQS. It is offered in two versions - 350 4 Matic which belts out 290 bhp of power with a peak torque of 520 Nm with dual-motor and the lower-sped, 300 4Matic generating 227 bhp of power with a peak torque of 390 Nm. We expect the carmaker to bring the 300 4Matic to the Indian market.

However, we believe the figures in CNG will stick to 87 bhp of power with a peak torque of 121.5 Nm. This engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and expect the ARAI-certified mileage will stick to 26.10 km/kg.

The updated SUV will be offered with three engine options and the biggest change will be on the cosmetics and on features front. Also, it now gets a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is the biggest in the system.
Maruti Grand Vitara CNG
Like the Hyryder CNG, Maruti too could launch the Grand Vitara CNG towards the end of December. It will also get the same specs as the Hyryder CNG, however, the certified mileage of the same is yet unknown. We expect it to stick north of 25 km/kg. Also, do expect a premium of Rs 1 lakh for the CNG-powered Grand Vitara.
BMW XM, X7 and M340i
The German carmaker will be unveiling XM, X7 and M340i on December 10. The XM will be the first M model with a plug-in V8 set-up. This motor pumps out 651 bhp of power with 800 Nm of peak torque. This upcoming SUV will be able to run in pure EV mode for 80 km. It is expected to be offered in a single top-of-the-line variant with features loaded up to the brim.
X7 Facelift
The mammoth SUV from BMW will finally receive a facelift after long. This model rivals Mercedes-Benz GLS and Volvo XC90 in India. The newer model will get an updated front profile with a split headlight set-up that was first showcased on the 7 series sedan. Feature-wise, this SUV will get BMWs latest 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 14.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest Drive 8 software.
