2022 is an amazing year for the Indian Automobile Industry as it'll witness quite a number of two and four wheeler launches. For now, we will be sharing the list of upcoming cars that will be launched in March 2022. The list includes Toyota Glanza to the Mercedes Maybach S-Class. Let's have a look!
The more powerful variant of the Skoda Slavia that is offered with a 1.5L TSI unit will be launched on March 3rd. This unit produces 148 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 250 Nm. It gets mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard along with an optional 6-speed torque converter. The ARAI certified mileage of manual and automatic sticks to 18.72 kmpl and 18.41 kmpl respectively. This 1.5L TSI is limited to the top-spec Style variant only that will be available with an optional sunroof too. We expect the Slavia 1.5L MT to be priced at Rs 16.19 lakh and the AT at Rs 17.79 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Mercedes Maybach S Class Limousine
Mercedes is all set to bring the Maybach S Class on March 3rd and this luxury saloon will be powered by a 4.0L V8 petrol and 6.0L V12 petrol. Both the engines will be mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and yes, the Maybach is an advanced version in terms of luxury and loaded features when compared with the S Class. The estimated price of the Mercedes Maybach S Class is expected around Rs 2.79 crores, ex-showroom, Delhi.
MG ZS EV Facelift
MG is yet again bringing a mid-cycle facelift of their electric SUV, ZS. On the outside, the ZS EV now borrows styling cues from the MG Astor and is now expected to feature ADAS too. Similarly, we can expect a bigger 51kWh battery pack with a higher range and quick charging. Feature-wise, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 360-view camera and more. We expect the prices to be between Rs 21 lakh to Rs 25 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The rebadged Maruti Baleno, Glanza is expected to be launched later this month. The premium hatchback will get a 1.2L DualJet VVT petrol engine that generates 89 bhp with 113 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed stick shift as standard along with an optional AMT unit will be on the offer. Like the pre-lift version, we expect the Glanza to be offered in two variants - G and V only.
Feature-wise, it'll gain a 360-view camera, Alexa connect, six airbags, head-up display, a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging and more. Instead of a CVT gearbox like present in the pre-lift version, the new Glanza will be equipped with an AMT instead. We expect the prices to stick between Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 9.59 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The fourth product based on the MQBAO IN platform, VW will unveil the Virtus on March 8th. This sedan will rival the likes of fifth-gen Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz and Skoda Slavia. Powering the Virtus will be to petrol engines - 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI. A 6-speed manual transmission will be offered as a standard fitment whereas, for the automatic, the 1.0L will get a 6-speed auto and 1.5L a 7-speed DSG. Feature-wise, VW Virtus will get a larger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless charging and among others. We expect the prices of the VW Virtus to stick between Rs 10.79 lakh to Rs 15.29 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Toyota commenced the bookings for their upcoming pick-up truck, Hilux, for Rs 1 lakh. The pre-bookings, however, have now halted because of the huge demand and will start again once the vehicle is launched in the Indian market. Toyota Hilux will be powered by a 2.8L turbocharged diesel engine that'll churn out 201 bhp of power on tap with a maximum torque of 420 Nm with the 6-speed manual and 500 Nm of peak torque with the 6-speed AT.
Toyota Hilux will be available in two variants - Low and High. Feature-wise, it gets equipped with cruise control, dual-zone climate control, powered driver's seat, LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED taillamps and others. We expect the price of the Toyota Hilux to stick between Rs 35 lakh to Rs 39 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The facelifted Ertiga has been spotted on Indian roads multiple times and we expect that it'll be launched later this month. Mechanically, it will be powered by the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor that generates 103 bhp with 138 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed manual transmission as standard and an optional 6-speed torque converter as an automatic can be on offer. Yes, Maruti will now replace the 4-speed AT with the 6-speed AT. However, with this change, the prices of owning an automatic Ertiga will be increased.
The pre-bookings of this coupe SUV has already commenced on its website and it is expected to be launched in March. Powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol unit and 2.0L oil burner, the X4 facelift also hosts a couple of new features and the limited edition, 'Black Shadow' variant will be sold alongside the standard X4.

The newer generation model of the NX350h will be launched on March 9 and features a new exterior and interior design along with updated features. Mechanically, Lexus NX 350h is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine that also gets two electric motors on each axle.
