- Hero will launch multiple products in 2023
- Includes new bigger Xpulse 400 ADV
- A new sporty scooter also aligned for launch
With the beginning of 2023, two-wheeler manufacturers are ready to launch new products. India's best-selling brand Hero is also prepared to introduce new bikes in India. Products ranging from new ADV to scooters, we present a detailed list of upcoming Hero MotoCorp bikes launching this year. Read in-depth below.
1 - Xpulse 400 ADV
The success of Xpulse 200 4V in India has exceeded the expectations of everyone at Hero's plant. The small-capacity ADV sells like hotcakes. All thanks to its complete package of lightweight chassis, punch-packed engine, & latest features. However, the ADV segment is now expanding at a fast rate. Products like the Royal Enfield Himalayan & KTM Adventure 390 are doing well in sales. Hence, Hero is preparing a new bigger engine equipped with Xpulse. Suspected to be Xpulse 400, the bike has been spied on testing at high altitudes in India. It is expected to get a 400cc engine that will make peak power of around 35-40 bhp. Additionally, it will be a feature-packed bike with ride modes, multiple variants, connected tech, etc, on offer. We anticipate that Hero Xpulse 400 will debut in the second half of 2023 with a price range of Rs 2.5 lakh.
2 - Xtreme 400
Using the same chassis & engine, Hero is also readying a sports bike. Possibly to be known as Xtreme 400S, this upcoming bike will have a dedicated riding posture. However, it will have design cues from the current Xtreme 200S, but with bigger dimensions. Additionally, Hero will equip the bigger Xtreme with the latest tech as such riding modes, connected tech, navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, etc. The test mule of it was spied along with the Xpulse 400 test bike. Both of the models were camouflaged but the Xtreme's riding posture was quite evident. Meanwhile, the other specifications like tyres, swingarm, etc., were also visible. While the Xpulse will be offered in different variants; the Xtreme might come in just one variant. Once launched, it will rival the KTM RC 390, BMW G 310 RR, & TVS RR 310.
3 - Maestro Xoom 110
A few months back Hero showcased a new scooter to its dealers. It was an internal event to which only Hero MotoCorp-associated people were invited. As all of the major dealerships were present; the silhouette of the new sporty scooter was shown. It is going to be called Maestro Xoom 110. As its name suggests, this upcoming scooter is based on the Maestro Edge 110. It is suspected to use the same chassis & engine. However, the leaked photos of it show that it uses a different design with aggressive details. Hero is going to focus on the young audience via the Xoom scooter. Meanwhile, its engine shall be re-tuned to adjust to its sportiness factor as well as changed body type. It is expected to launch as early as March'23 with a price tag of Rs 95,000 (expected). However, Hero might showcase the Xoom at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo'23.
4 - Hunk 160
Recently two test bikes from Hero were spied on testing inside the city. Both of these models were uncovered completely with the Hunk badge on the fuel tank. Hunk was a premium commuter bike that sold for a good amount a few years ago. However, Hero discontinued the Hunk brand in India but continued selling it overseas. The Xtreme 160R is sold as Hunk 160 overseas. Now coming back to the test mules, both bikes looked showroom-ready. Hence, we are expecting that Hero might introduce the Hunk brand once again in India. The new Hunk model will get an updated 160cc engine with the connected X-Tec technology. We expect that Hero will debut the Hunk sometime in the second half of this year with a price tag of Rs 1.25 lakh (expected).
Verdict
In addition to the above models, Hero will also be introducing more Xtec models. Commuter bikes like the HF Deluxe & the Super Splendor are expected to get Xtec updates like Bluetooth smartphone connectivity. Some of these models will be showcased at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo'23.
