The upcoming Mahindra EVs will be designed by Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE), a newly established division of Mahindra that is overseen by Pratap Bose, Mahindra's Chief Design Officer. The renders of the upcoming Mahindra XUV 900 were recently revealed by a designer named Gen-x Design.
The SUV shown in the recently released teaser will have a unique square-shaped steering wheel with the Mahindra logo in the centre, and a cockpit-like interior with big screens serving as infotainment and driver's display. The teaser shows aerodynamic wheels, digital wing-shaped ORVMs, and LED lights on the outside. The previous teaser revealed a cockpit-like interior with LEDs along the length of the vehicle, from the centre console to the driver's side door. A rotary knob and a hefty lever in the centre console are used to operate the drive selector. The prototype car has sporty bucket seats with wraparound headrests.
Also, Mahindra XUV 300 electric is also expected to be the first SUV under the Born Electric lineup. Recently in a media conference M&M executive director Rajesh Jejurikar said, "We will be launching the electric version of XUV 300, which we hope to have in the first quarter of the next calendar year." He also indicated that the XUV300 electric version will be larger than the ICE version. The XUV300 electric variant will be 4.2 metres long.
