TVS Apache RTR 310 - What To Expect?
The upcoming Apache RTR 310 is going to be an aggressive-looking naked sports bike. TVS has released a new teaser of it showing a glimpse of how will it look like. The front design resembles that of the Ducati Streetfighter. There are two split LED DRLs positioned under the center line. Also, a new LED headlight will be positioned a bit on the lower side. The muscular fuel tank and its shrouds will extend towards the headlight. Also, the split seat will offer a committed riding stance. It'll get a single-piece handlebar & rear set footpegs. TVS will also enrich its features like LED lights, TFT colour display, Xonnect smartphone connectivity, riding modes, etc.
With the release of the new teaser, TVS has also commenced bookings of it. While the bookings are open, the amount is not disclosed in the teaser. We suspect that the amount shall range somewhere between Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. While there were rumours that it'll be a rebadged version of the BMW G 310 R, the teasers show that it'll certainly be more than that. However, the bike will be powered via the same 312.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine is already shared with the Apache RR 310 sports bike.
Verdict
The naked Apache RTR 310 is an important launch for TVS. The middle-weight sports bike segment has got exciting with the launch of Triumph Speed 400. In fact, KTM is also ready to introduce its new 390 Duke in September. Hence, the RTR 310 will make more sense now. With connected features and aggressive design, its expected price shall remain around Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 2.75 lakh.
