The VW Virtus offers two petrol engine choices. The first is a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The second option is a more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual. Currently, there's a special price drop on the Virtus 1.0L TSI Comfortline MT, which is now priced at Rs 10.89 lakh.

The Taigun shares the same engine options as its sibling, the VW Virtus, offering two gearbox choices. The 6-speed manual transmission is claimed to provide a fuel efficiency of 20.08 kmpl, while the 6-speed automatic transmission offers a mileage of 18.45 kmpl. For the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, the 6-speed manual delivers a claimed efficiency of 18.88 kmpl, whereas the 7-speed DCT improves it to 19.62 kmpl.
The Taigun 1.0L TSI Comfortline MT variant is currently available for Rs 10.89 lakh, reflecting a temporary price reduction.

The Tiguan is powered by a lively 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 187 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. It comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) for smooth gear shifts. You can also opt for an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system for better traction. Volkswagen claims that this engine provides a fuel efficiency of 12.65 kmpl.
