BMW's entry-level SUV offers petrol/diesel options, many features, and a premium experience in the luxury segment.

What We Like

Available in petrol/diesel, offers a lavish cabin with premium features, and provides good ride and handling.

What We Do Not Like

The 3-cylinder engine is weak (less powerful than the prior generation) and misses features like ventilated seats and a full-size spare.

Expert Verdict on X1

3.5
Expert Rating
The BMW X1 continues to be a premium entry-level luxury SUV that focuses on delivering a balanced mix of practicality, performance, and modern technology. In everyday use, it offers peppy turbocharged engines, a comfortable ride, spacious cabin for the segment, and BMW’s latest curved display with Operating System 9, making it well suited for urban commutes as well as occasional highway trips. It also benefits from strong build quality and the brand’s engaging driving dynamics. However, the firm ride over rough roads and its relatively high price compared to some rivals may not appeal to buyers prioritising outright comfort or value. If your priority is a compact luxury SUV that feels sporty to drive while still being practical for daily use, the BMW X1 makes a strong case.

Top Performance BMW Cars

BMW cars are luxurious, and the interior design along with the logo looks very cool. It cools down gradually and displays the CAE III system, which is one of the best in the world. BMW truly makes some of the best cars.
