- The interior of the Hyundai Tucson is a huge step ahead of its predecessors. It has a dual-tone dashboard treatment of black and beige theme. The dashboard has continuous treatment. It flows to the central unit on both sides. They are separated by the 10.25” touchscreen infotainment system. The gearknob resembles the younger sibling Creta and could have been designed better.
- The interior has a premium appeal. The light color upholstery might be hard to maintain. But, it provides comfort and airiness in the cabin. It pairs with the huge panoramic sunroof. The steering wheel has a slight change in the design and the instrument cluster has a futuristic appearance.
- Coming to the features front, it has tonnes of features for the user. It has some main features. Features like wireless charging, heated seats, dual-zone climate control, and more are available. - Overall the ambiance of the interiors has a premiumness attached to it. It has a sense of sophistication with the price at which it is offered and it feels like a great space to be in.
- The Hyundai Tucson comes with 2 engines on offer. It offers a 2L naturally aspirated inline 4-cylinder petrol engine and a 2L inline 4-cylinder diesel engine. Both of them have an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It misses on the manual transmission and it could have been a great offering for diesel enthusiasts.
- Talking about power figures, the 2L petrol engine produces 156 BHP and 192 Nm of peak torque. This petrol engine is very refined and smooth in power delivery. This is the same engine that was used to source the Hyundai Alcazar as well. It has good performance and frugal fuel efficiency. In city conditions, it would return about 9-11 km/L depending on the driving style, and highways, it can stretch up to 14-17 km/L as well.
- The 2L diesel engine has much more performance and feels much more alive to drive. This motor produces 185 BHP and 416 Nm of peak torque. It is a much peppy motor as compared to the petrol engine and has better fuel economy as well. In city conditions, it would return about 13-15 km/L from this motor, and on highways, it can stretch up to 17-19 km/L as well.

- If we consider the seating comfort, then it is a great place to be in. The front row of seats is very comfortable and offers good support. It is a great practical car for your daily driving and on highways, it munches miles very easily.
- The front row seats are well cushioned and get an electronic adjustment. It has plenty of cup-holders and bottle holders at the front along with multiple storage compartments for your knicknacks.

The cabin is wide enough and the rear AC vents with charging sockets take care of the passengers at the rear seat.
- The suspension of the Hyundai Tucson is tuned on the softer side. It glides over the bumps and potholes very well and the 18” alloy wheels maintain the grip level. At high speeds, it maintains its line and during off-road, the suspension absorbs the obstacles very well.
- The steering wheel has a decent feel and feedback on offer. It is very light in city conditions and might feel a bit vague. On highways and at high speeds, it does not inspire confidence and could have been added with artificial weight.
