5" TFT Touchscreen Display
The 2024 Bajaj Chetak introduces a revamped 5-inch TFT instrument console, offering a significant upgrade. The top-of-the-line Bajaj Chetak 3501 variant boasts a touchscreen console with adjustable touch sensitivity, a segment-first feature, full navigation, and on-board document storage. The Chetak 3502 variant features a non-touchscreen console, navigated via the switchgear. Both variants incorporate smartphone connectivity and related features, however, the way they function differs as per the hierarchy.
Key Fob
Another major advantage that the Bajaj Chetak offers is the key fob which gives it that premium touch, something that we have already seen with the Honda Activa H-Smart variant. However, again, the more advanced 3501 variant gets this feature, whereas the lower 3502 trim gets a traditional key that doesn't offer any techy features, but gets the job done like many others.

Bluetooth Connectivity
Another notable addition is the Bluetooth connectivity that has been upgraded from last time when it earlier used to get a humble turn-by-turn navigation and limited functionality. However, if you want to unlock the full potential of the connectivity suite, you will have to opt for the TecPac which adds sequential turn indicators, geo-fencing, speed limiter, over-speed alert, and guide me home headlamps. One thing to note is that while the top-spec 3501 offers this equipped suite with the TecPac, the 3502 trims miss out on sequential turn indicators and an onboard document storage facility.
Verdict
Bajaj Auto has launched the updated Chetak Electric in India, available in two variants: the 3501 and 3502, priced at Rs 1.27 lakh and Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. With a claimed range of 153 km, quick charging capabilities, and the iconic Chetak design reimagined for modern urban mobility, the updated model aims to further strengthen its position in the electric scooter segment. However, the road ahead will not be easy with this segment witnessing some pretty fierce competitors.
