Hero Moto Corp has finally introduced the much-awaited new Hero Destini 125 in India. The new version has some major upgrades in terms of features and design. The previous gen model remained on sale for almost six years in the market. With the new Destini 125, the Hero Moto Corp has revived its scooter portfolio which apparently got older in front of its rivals such as the TVS Ntorq, Honda Activa and others. Hero Destini 125 Old Vs New: Design
First thing first, the appearance or the part that makes the new Destini 125 really new. The new Hero Destini 125 gets a completely new makeover when compared to the outgoing model. While the overall silhouette remains the same, you now get a more appealing and modern bodywork. The new Destini 125 features a metal fender and LED headlamp with a projector unit. The new headlamp is claimed to provide a 3 times brighter throw than the outgoing model. At the rear, you get a modern-looking H-shaped LED light bar with a tail lamp. Other new design elements include Bronze and chrome treatment at various places. In terms of side profile, the scooter now adorns bigger 12-inch alloy wheels.
Features
In terms of features too, the new Destini 125 is an improved product over its predecessor. It has features such as a new fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, a bank angle sensor, a boot lamp, a front glove box and a side-stand alarm. The new full digi-cluster on offer enables features such as turn-by-turn navigation, and real-time ride-related information for the riders. These features make the new Destini 125 more comfortable and convenient than the outgoing model.

Engine and Suspension
The new Hero Destini 125 comes powered by the same 124.6cc, air-cooled SI engine that generates a maximum power output of 6.63 kW at 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.4 Nm at 5000 rpm. The powerhouse now comes with a better state of tune that makes the ride more efficient. Also, the scooter offers tech such as i3S and XSense fuel technology for better acceleration response. Hero Moto Corp claims that the new Destini 125 is capable of providing an average mileage of 59 kmpl.
Even with a similar engine, the new Destini 125 provides a better riding experience and refined power delivery than the outgoing model. New Hero Destini 125: Price and Rivals
As for now, the manufacturer hasn't announced the pricing for the new Destini 125. But we are expecting it to be priced at Rs. 1 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end model. After entering the market, the new Hero Destini will lock horns with the likes of TVS Ntorq 125 and the Honda Activa in India.
